Isolation & Characterization of Alcohol Production from Ginger Fermentation:
Yeast strains, microbes used for alcohol production are isolated from ginger field of Bijnor. Saccharomyces cerevisiae (Baker’s yeast) was isolated to produce fermented product i.e. alcohol. Characterization of selected yeast isolate was done by different tests. Along with production parameters like pH, specific gravity, alcohol content was monitored during fermentation period. In future, these strains could be used for bio-ethanol production.

Effect of Copper Nanoparticles on an Azotobacter growth
Different concentration of copper nanoparticles was tested on azotobacter bacteria. Copper nanoparticles were synthesized in our laboratory. This project concludes that increase in copper nanoparticle concentration decrease the growth of microorganisms. The study of these further can be utilised as anti-microbial agent, in metals and lubricants etc.

Biodegradation of the Polythene by Bacterial Isolate from Dump Soil
Aim of this project was to identify polythene degrading bacteria, which is a major problem now-a-days. Degradation of pretreated polythene was done by different isolates of soil obtained from different locations. Screening of microorganisms, which degrade polythene, was done. Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus amylolyticus and Arthrobacter defluvii were identified as polythene degrading bacteria. Further research can be done on this to prevent water contamination.

Structure based Drug Designing of Alexander Disease
Drug designing based on structural studies was done for Alexander disease. Docking of different structural analogs was done along with their toxicity by using different bioinformatics tools and softwares. The outcome of this project showed positive results for some analogs without any toxicity. this study can futher be investigated for treating Alexander disease.
